SAP CO/PCM Consultant

msg global is a consulting and system integration company focusing on the insurance business. We are looking for an SAP CO/PCM Consultant who can perform software development and design in a self-driven environment on tight timelines with a high degree of focus on quality. 

What you will do? The Senior Consultant works with clients and team members in SAP PaPM implementations (msg provides PaPM Training). The individual will deliver results through unparalleled professionalism leveraging a superior consultative approach and strong knowledge and expertise of msg’s products and related services.  Responsibilities will include, although not limited to, the following:

  • Provide expertise in SAP PaPM to clients across multiple industries (Insurance, Banking, Retail, High Tech, etc.)
  • Lead engagements and deliver high-quality services on time and budget
  • Support presales demos, including RFP’s and client demonstrations
  • Manage productive client relationships
  • Communicate effectively with client and msg global management
  • Hands-on ability to create and maintain PaPM models and environments (after training)
  • Responsible for achieving key business outcomes while adhering to project goals and deadlines
  • Look for opportunities and engage in up-selling or cross-selling to existing customers
  • Responsible for end-to-end development, Requirement gathering, Design, configuration of PaPM functions, testing, enhancements, and production support activities
  • Lead smaller projects/teams

What experience you should have?

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field from reputed College/University
  • Experience: You should have 5 to 9 years of experience in SAP Controlling or SAP PCM space with at least 2 full life cycle of SAP implementation.


  • Experience in SAP full life-cycle implementations, preferably with SAP Controlling, PCM in lead roles
  • Worked extensively on Product Unit Cost, Cost Allocations, Intercompany transfer pricing, and Profitability.
  • Expertise in Activity Based Costing, Waterfall Cost Allocations
  • Experience in Planning/Forecasting or Financial Allocation/Consolidation
  • Technical and functional expertise in SAP applications/modules, preferably in SAP PCM, Controlling
  • Strong understanding of financial budgeting and planning business processes
  • Proven track record in SAP delivery
  • Ability to be creative, flexible, and adaptable in a changing work environment
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter with the passion and drive to be part of a continuously growing business
  • A conceptual thinker with the professional consulting skills to create compelling solutions, taking into account business objectives as well as appropriate regulatory and technical requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with an emphasis on tact and diplomacy
  • Demonstrates strong business and financial acumen combined with the professional consulting skills necessary to create solutions that take into account business objectives and financial requirements
  • Proven ability to manage multiple assignments, adjust direction and priorities within a fast-paced and multi-faceted work environment through strong organization, time, detail, and process management orientation
  • Capability to work well under pressure, in particular under cost and time constraints
  • Dedication to exceptional work quality and demonstrated ethics and integrity in all actions
  • The ability to excel in a global team environment, effectively communicate, and achieve results is critical

Will be considered an advantage?

  • SAP Certification in Controlling
  • Experience in SAP BW on HANA, SAP ABAP, SAP BPC. 
  • Experience in the financial services and/or insurance industry is preferred but not required
  • Working experience or knowledge in any Performance Management Products
