Junior Security Analyst

Role Overview
We are seeking a Junior Security Analyst to support our global IT Security Operations. This entry‑level position is well-suited for candidates with a strong technical foundation and an interest in cloud security, DevOps security, and secure software lifecycle practices.
You will support daily security operations, perform initial analysis of security events, and contribute to the secure operation of our cloud‑based environments—primarily AWS, with exposure to additional hyperscalers.
Key Responsibilities
- Support L1 security operations, including monitoring, initial alert analysis, and escalation according to defined procedures
- Assist in the operation and monitoring of cloud security controls, primarily in AWS
- Support secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC) practices and security controls within CI/CD environments
- Assist with security‑related activities in GitLab Cloud, including pipeline security checks and reviews
- Perform basic log analysis and troubleshooting on Linux systems
- Support vulnerability management activities and follow defined remediation processes
- Maintain clear documentation, procedures, and operational runbooks
- Collaborate with Cloud, DevOps, and Application teams to support secure and compliant operations
- Escalate security incidents and technical issues to senior engineers as required
Education and Experience
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, or a related field or comparable practical experience
- 0–2 years of professional experience in IT operations, cloud services, security, or DevOps
- Suitable for graduates and junior professionals seeking to develop a career in security and cloud operations
- Basic understanding of IT security fundamentals and operational security principles
- Foundational knowledge of AWS cloud services, such as IAM, networking, logging, and compute
- General knowledge of Linux operating systems (processes, logs, file systems)
- Basic scripting skills (e.g. Bash, Python) or strong willingness to develop them
- Familiarity with Git and CI/CD concepts; experience with GitLab is an advantage
- Structured, reliable working style with strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work in an international environment
