What we do

The Finance and Accounting team is a business partner for internal and external stakeholders such as management, auditors, and banks. The team works with colleagues across the globe and provides exposure to interesting topics and projects related to our responsibilities. We cover key areas such as accounts payable, receivable, tax, and invoicing areas to name a few. In close collaboration with our controlling department, we provide a strong foundation for finance excellence. Our team consists of a range of professionals, junior and senior, which contribute to everyday operational success. The Finance and Accounting department is an essential pillar of the company; therefore, its members represent a valuable and respectable team that always strives for excellence.

 

 

What you will do

  • Steering all FI administration processes and procedures in multiple Western European countries and ensure they are in compliance with local GAAP and internal guidelines
  • Managing a FI-team of six people and drive their personal development
  • Partnership with the Senior Management in all Accounting daily business responsibilities
  • Support Global Accounting projects, as needed
  • Contact person for external auditors and tax consultants, as well as for subgroup and group accounting
  • Quality assurance for the Western Europe region
  • Preparation of business evaluations and contact person for the management of the Europe West region
  • Coordination of the annual financial statements for the Western European Countries in cooperation with the responsible Accountants
  • Taking over the accounting for one or more entities including all related activities within the Accounting

 

 

What we are looking for

Requirements​

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business administration or similar and further training as an Accountant
  • 2+ years of experience managing a team
  • Strong understanding in SAP R/3-FI
  • Experience in the execution of consolidated financial statements according to HGB and IFRS
  • Experience in international organizations beneficial
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with hands-on-mentality
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Fluent in German and English language – spoken and written
