Business Unit PaPM

The Business Unit Profitability and Performance Management (BU PaPM) provides consulting, implementation and application management services in the areas of Profitability-, Performance- and Sustainability Management based on the leading analytics solutions SAP SAC, SAP PaPM and SAP DWC. With our solutions and services, we help our clients across the globe to increase transparency and control of their business, provide better basis for decision making and excel in profitability, efficiency and sustainability. Your Role

The Regional Presales Lead for EMEA is part of our global Presales Team and is working in close cooperation with our BU Heads and our Country management to strengthen our team and develop our analytics business with clients in EMEA. Main responsibilities of this role are the active management of the EMEA presales team of consultants in the area of PaPM and SAC, the support of PaPM and SAC opportunities, the interaction with clients, fostering the relationship with SAP and global SI partners and the preparation of compelling presales stories and material to successfully position PaPM and SAC in the market. The individual will deliver results through unparalleled professionalism leveraging a superior presales and consultative approach and strong knowledge and expertise of msg’s products and related services.  Responsibilities will include, although not limited to, the following:

 

Your responsibilities at msg global

  • Manage and extend a high-performance presales team in the EMEA region in the areas of Profitability and Sustainability based on SAP SAC and SAP PaPM
  • Work with Country Management and Sales to generate a solid pipeline, win new clients and extend existing clients in EMEA
  • Generate additional licenses and services business that significantly contribute to the revenue of msg global
  • Maintain the partnership with SAP in that region and support to foster and establish additional partners
  • Work closely with the country managers / country sales in the region and build a strong, trustful relationship
  • Support the growth of key market countries in EMEA and extend the reach well beyond the current scope of active market countries
  • Run presales operations in EMEA incl.
    • Prepare and run presales meeting and demos leveraging SAC and SAP PaPM based on relevant use cases in the areas of profitability and sustainability
    • Support Country Sales, SAP, and partners incl. preparation of compelling proposals
    • Provide expertise in SAP SAC and SAP PaPM to clients across multiple industries (Insurance, Banking, Retail, High Tech, Media, Food etc.) in the areas of profitability and of corporate sustainability and EU-Taxonomy (SFDR/NFRD)
    • Communicate effectively with client, SAP and msg global BU and Country management
    • Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and prove ability to develop new markets and clients
    • Take responsibility for achieving key presales outcomes while adhering to business goals and deadlines
    • Look for opportunities and engage in up-selling or cross-selling to existing customers
  • Contribute with innovative and new ideas to the overall development of presales in BU PaPM
  • Help to build the next generation of Presales experts for the BU

 

Your Professional Skills

  • University/College degree(s) in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Business Management or Economics. 
  • A minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience in software solutions consulting, software industry, Finance & Performance Management consulting, Sustainability consulting or Audit
  • A minimum of 7+ years of experience in presales around performance management consulting and solutions
  • Experience in sales and presales processes, client relationship management, partner relationship management
  • Experience in managing presales teams, ideally from the consulting area
  • Experience in working with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and SAP PaPM
  • Experience in full life-cycle software solution implementations
  • Proven ability to manage multiple client engagements, adjust direction and priorities within fast- paced and multi-faceted work environment through strong organization, time, detail, and sales management orientation
  • Adept at dealing with challenging client and presales team situations, and able to establish yourself quickly as trusted advisor to customers
  • Capability to speak and address business needs around performance management and explain the value of the IT solution in that context
  • Ability to be creative, flexible, and adaptable in a changing work environment
  • Move easily between big picture thinking and managing relevant detail
  • A conceptual thinker with the professional consulting skills to create compelling solutions, considering business objectives as well as appropriate regulatory and technical requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with an emphasis on tact and diplomacy
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills in English language – internally and externally
  • Commit to exceptional customer service, ethics, and integrity in all actions
  • Ability to excel in a global team environment, effectively communicate and achieve results
  • Ability to travel internationally and eligible to work in EU
  • Fluency in English, written and oral

 

What additional experience is beneficial?

  • Technical and functional expertise in SAP BW, HANA, BPC, PCM, COPA and/or S/4
  • Technical and functional expertise in other solutions like Anaplan, Tagetik, Cognos TM1
  • Knowledge of Relational Database Management concepts and data modeling
  • Experience with Cloud and Hybrid-Cloud architectures
  • Implementation Experience in the Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) / Corporate Performance Management (CPM) space
  • Good understanding of core finance and accounting process such as financial budgeting and planning, allocations, profitability, tax, and of business processes, such as supply chain, manufacturing, retail cost to serve, etc.
