What we do

The Finance Business Unit provides consulting and implementation services that focus on digital transformation and innovative processes to improve the finance and accounting function for international insurance and banking companies. We are SAP’s preferred solution integrator and offer functional and technical expertise, project methodologies, accelerators and templates, system training, and ongoing maintenance support.

 

Our Finance team covers all areas of implementation, data integration, and reporting. As one of the largest Finance teams in the world, we employ consultants, data scientists, software engineers, and industry experts.


What you will do

  • Provide leadership to FS-CD consulting teams in Spain, ensuring excellence in delivery, mentorship, and alignment with strategic client and organizational objectives
  • Help clients by consulting and providing exceptional solutions to their challenges
  • Drive the end-to-end success of complex SAP projects in fast-moving environments, with ownership of scope, timelines, financials, and stakeholder satisfaction
  • Lead and inspire the implementation of SAP FS-CD and S/4HANA Finance solutions, ensuring best-practice adoption and measurable business outcomes
  • Delivery excellence by maintaining strong governance, upholding quality standards, and consistently achieving on-time and on-budget results
  • Anticipate risks and seize opportunities, applying strategic foresight and decisive action to safeguard project success and enhance client trust
  • Develop and maintain communication with key project stakeholders and decision-makers
  • Spearhead business development initiatives, expanding SAP FS-CD presence in Spain and actively shaping the growth strategy of the Business Unit worldwide
  • Act as a knowledge ambassador, sharing expertise to empower teams, drive innovation, and accelerate our collective market influence
  • Continuously expand capabilities in SAP’s finance ecosystem, championing adoption of emerging technologies and future-ready solutions
  • Support and strengthen operational priorities such as recruitment, talent development, and capability building to grow a high-performing FS-CD practice


What we are looking for

Requirements

  • 8+ years of impactful SAP consulting experience, with deep expertise in FS-CD and S/4HANA Finance (FI-CO, FI-AM, FI-GL, FI-AR, FI-AP), and FI-CA (including RM-CA, PS-CD, FS-CD, FICA, FICAX)
  • Proven track record leading full-cycle SAP implementations, driving transformation and measurable value for clients
  • Strong understanding of SAP architecture and its influence on financial, operational, and customer outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, with a talent for identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities
  • Hands-on experience in pre-sales activities, including proposals, RFP responses, and solution envisioning
  • Leadership experience managing consulting teams, with a passion for mentoring and developing talent
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, ensuring clarity, diplomacy, and confidence in any audience
  • Skilled in executive presentations and in managing time and priorities in fast-paced environments
  • Business-savvy mindset with sharp financial acumen, strong analytical capabilities, and a structured approach to problem-solving
  • Solid understanding of financial budgeting, planning, and accounting processes within insurance or finance-driven organizations
  • Fluency in both Spanish and English, in speaking and writing
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% to support client success and market growth
  • Legal authorization to work in Spain without the need for current or future visa sponsorship

 

Nice to have

  • Working experience in insurance, reinsurance, either as a consultant or company employee.
  • Master's degree or MBA (preferably in finance, accounting, computer science, business analytics) or related field.
  • Relevant SAP certifications
  • Technical Programming skills (ABAP)
  • Familiar with SAP Activate project methodology. Miro: this is new one, so nice to have. If candidate worked in S/4HANA most likely it was based on SAP Activate
