What we do

The SAP Food Business Unit designs, implements, and operates end-to-end processes for the food industry with tailor-made SAP applications and state-of-the-art technology, including SAP S/4HANA, SAP Dairy Management by msg, and SAP Meat and Fish Management by msg for S/4HANA

Our consultants work with global industry leaders to address business challenges with the latest technology to improve processes and operational excellence, enable innovation and scalability, maximize profitability, remove performance barriers, increase sustainability, modernize core systems, and reimagine their business with SAP digital solutions



What you will do

  • Responsible for tracking key project activities at a detailed level including administrative items associated with a complex technical SAP deployment
  • Create integrated project plans associated with deploying new SAP systems
  • Formulate recovery plans or assessing impact if not recoverable and escalates as appropriate
  • Record and monitor project actual costs vs. project budget
  • Responsible for proactively identifying variances to plan and developing appropriate mitigation plans
  • Formulate corrective actions when project deliverables deviate from the work plan with the assistance of team members
  • Understand how project decisions impact key business metrics and the enterprise strategy
  • Build consensus among team relative to project scope, task execution, staffing and issue resolution
  • Provide clear and reliable communications to internal teams, project stakeholders, external vendors, and customers. Escalates issues and risks when appropriate
  • Show flexibility in changing approach when needed
  • Review project proposals and provide guidance and recommendation to the clients
  • Support SAP Food Management presales efforts as assigned
  • Participate in training/mentoring customer and internal consultants
  • Contribute to and participate in the msg Global Knowledge Communities
  • Other duties as assigned

 


What we are looking for

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of Seven (7) years of SAP project management experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum of (5) years of experience with SAP in Dairy, Meat Processing, Food, Beverage, Agriculture, consumer food products, industrial food products, healthcare, manufacturing
  • Demonstrated expertise of SAP project methodologies
  • Strong knowledge and background in a process-based industry like dairy, food, protein, chemical, or pharmaceuticals
  • Excellent presentation and written and verbal communications skills in English language, both internal and external, with an emphasis on tact and diplomacy
  • Proven ability to manage multiple assignments, adjust direction and priorities within a fast paced and multi-faceted work environment through strong organization, time, detail, and process management orientation
  • Professional consulting skills with ability to create solutions that consider business objectives and requirements
  • Self-starter with the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment with critical deadlines
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to travel up to 80%
  • Visa sponsorship will be processed for the right candidate

  • Competitive salaries and a broad range of benefits which are highlighted below. The salary range for this position in the US are $145,000 to $180,000. Individual salaries within this range is determined by multiple factors including but not limited to skill set, experience, education and knowledge. The salary range is not inclusive of the generous discretionary bonus that is also part of the full package.
