What we do

The Analytics Business Unit provides consulting, implementation, training, architecture, and installation services for profitability and sustainability management based on SAP’s analytics solutions SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), PaPM, Sustainability Control Tower (SCT), Data Warehouse Cloud (DWC) and others. We co-develop the SAP PaPM application and content packages providing standard functionality for various use cases and industries. What you will do

About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior SAP PaPM Technician to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of SAP Profitability and Performance Management (PaPM) solutions. In this role, you will play a key part in developing financial models, optimizing cost allocations, and driving data integration efforts to enhance financial performance management. You will work closely with Finance, IT, and Business teams to ensure the SAP PaPM system meets business objectives efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, configuration, and enhancement of SAP PaPM models to support financial planning, profitability analysis, and cost allocation.
• Manage data integration processes, ensuring seamless data flow from SAP ERP, SAP BW, SAP HANA, and other external data sources.
• Optimize and automate complex financial calculations and reporting processes within SAP PaPM.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and implement best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex SAP PaPM-related issues, ensuring system stability and performance.
• Train and mentor junior technicians, providing guidance on PaPM functionalities and best practices.
• Conduct testing, validation, and performance tuning of PaPM models to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Stay updated on SAP innovations, regulatory requirements, and industry trends, making recommendations for system improvements.
• Assist in audit and compliance activities by ensuring proper documentation and reporting controls.

What we are looking for

Qualifications & Skills:

Required:​

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience working with SAP PaPM, SAP FICO, or related financial planning and analytics solutions.
• Strong expertise in profitability analysis, cost allocation models, and financial performance management.
• Hands-on experience in configuring and implementing SAP PaPM solutions, including modeling, calculations, and reporting.
• Proficiency in SAP HANA, SAP BW, SAP ERP, and data integration techniques.
• Advanced SQL, VBA, Python, or ABAP skills for financial modeling and automation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to communicate complex financial and technical concepts to both business and IT teams.
  
  

Preferred:

• Experience in SAP BPC, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), or other performance management tools.
• Knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• SAP certifications in PaPM, FICO, or BW.
• Prior experience leading SAP PaPM implementation projects or system migrations.
