Global Mobility and Business Travel Specialist (Temporary 1.5 year contract)
The Global Mobility & Business Travel Specialist is responsible for overseeing the organization’s global mobility programs and ensuring compliant, efficient, and cost-effective management of both long-term international assignments and short-term business travel. This position acts as a strategic partner to HR, Finance, Legal, and senior management, bridging employee experience with regulatory compliance in all forms of cross-border mobility.
Key responsibilities:
- Point of contact to local HR, senior management and employees for all global mobility topics at msg global worldwide,
- Deliver consultative advice, respond to queries, and carry out effective solutions related to international assignments and relocations of employees
- Advise local HR, senior management and employees on policy, processes, and compliance procedures, including immigration (visa, residence, work permit, etc.), taxes (individual income tax, etc.), social security, and employment law considerations
- Establish and manage the relationship with external service providers (lawyers, consultants, agencies) to support global mobility topics
- Make sure all global mobility operational processes run smoothly and efficiently at all times
- Oversee posted worker, duty of care, and health & safety obligations.
- Provide guidance and advice on remote work cases from abroad
- Monitor travel data, assess compliance exposure, and provide regular insights to leadership.
- Deliver clear guidance and training on business travel requirements and compliance awareness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in economics, law, paralegal or similar.
- Previous work experience or touch point with global mobility topics (employee relocation and/or international assignments).
- Overall awareness of EU Personal Income Tax legislation, Social Security legislation and Immigration Law
- Experienced in working together with service providers (consultants, agencies, lawyers, etc.).
- Excellent English language skills, spoken and written.
- Ability to work across business functions with strong consensus building skills to move a strategy forward.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and filing systems is essential.
- Work experience in an international company and multicultural environment, including communication on senior management level
Nice to have
- Understanding of immigration processes, work permits & visas and employment law
- Project management experience is desirable, including the management of activities carried out by third-party suppliers
