The Finance and Accounting team is a business partner for internal and external stakeholders such as management, auditors, and banks. The team works with colleagues across the globe and provides exposure to interesting topics and projects related to our responsibilities. We cover key areas such as accounts payable, receivable, tax, and invoicing areas to name a few. In close collaboration with our controlling department, we provide a strong foundation for finance excellence. Our team consists of a range of professionals, junior and senior, which contribute to everyday operational success. The Finance and Accounting department is an essential pillar of the company; therefore, its members represent a valuable and respectable team that always strives for excellence.
What you will do
- Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
- Update accounts receivable and issue invoices
- Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations
- Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements in accordance with statutory and company accounting and financial guidelines
- Monitoring accrual and deferral accounts
- Preparation of advance sales tax returns
- Monitoring accounts receivable, accounts payable and personnel accounting
- Preparation of documents for the annual financial statements
- Support audits and liaise with external auditors
- Collaboration in the optimization of internal processes and procedures
- Travel Management, as well as administrative work such as credit cards and implementation of travel tools
What we are looking for
- Formal training as an accountant or Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance or Accounting
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience
- Fluent in English (written and spoken), Dutch proficiency is preferred but not required
- Good analytical and organizational skills
- Deadline-Oriented
- Self-motivated and flexible
- Ability to work either independently or within an international team
- Analytical problem-solving capabilities
- Proactive and hands-on attitude
- Ability to work in an international team with international customers
- 24-40 hours a week
Nice to have
- Firsthand experience with SAP FI
- Previous experience in global company and work in international team
